NVSU Recognized by AACCUP as One of the SUCs with Most Number of Programs Accredited

NVSU was awarded Top 2 among the State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the Philippines with the highest number of Level III Accredited Programs in 2022 (21 Programs) during the 36^th AACCUP Annual National Conference and General Assembly meeting held on March 27-29, 2023 at the Century Park Hotel, Malate Manila.

The Plaque of Recognition was received by University President Wilfredo A. Dumale, Jr., together with the VP for Research, Extension and Training Jonar I. Yago, VP for Academic Affairs Elma P. Apostol, VP for Administration and Finance Cristina R. Salvosa, Executive Assistant Atty. Regine Karla G. Tabas, Quality Assurance & Accreditation Director Sheryl B. Fontanilla, Instruction and Curriculum Development (ICD) Director Jane D. Navalta, Department Chairperson for CTE Graduate School Wilhelmina C. Bullecer, and Quality Assurance & Accreditation Campus Coordinator Evangeline D. Castro. This was handed by Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin of the Visayas State University and the President & Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Dr. Milabel E. Ho, Executive Director.

The three-day event themed ?Strengthening a Culture of Quality Assurance in Higher Education through Partnerships in Accreditation? was attended by SUC Presidents/Chancellors, Vice Presidents/Vice Chancellors, Deans/Directors/Academic Heads, Chairs/Heads and/or Staff of Internal Quality Assurance Centers, Accreditors, and Senior Faculty.

AACCUP, through this event, aims to (1) develop strategies for enhancing a culture of quality assurance in higher education; (2) plan strategies for maintaining institutional and programmatic accreditation; (3) strengthen partnerships and links between national and international accrediting bodies; (4) develop quality assurance systems from internalization to internationalization in higher education; and (5) prepare accreditors for new approaches to accreditation survey visits.

This milestone and momentous event for the University is attributed to the countless efforts and initiatives of those involved in the processing of necessary requirements.
