
NVSU strengthens readiness for Institutional Accreditation in 2-day orientation
Carrying the lessons and inspiration to further improve every document and process, the two-day orientation for the upcoming Institutional Accreditation of Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) held on Aug. 7 to 8 at Wilwin Hotel, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, concluded with the presentation of outputs by committee members from the nine areas, in preparation for the portfolio submission.
During the culminating activity, each area committee showcased their accomplishments and gathered documents, with Area 4 (Research) and Area 5 (Extension, Consultancy, and Linkages) standing out for their comprehensive outputs.
Director Milabel E. Ho, Executive Director of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), and Mr. Dominic T. Martinez, Information Technology Officer III of AACCUP, served as guests of honor and resource speakers.
In his message, NVSU President Dr. Wilfredo A. Dumale Jr. highlighted the university’s notable accomplishments, including its internationalization initiatives and academic programs that have successfully undergone accreditation and attained Level IV status. He also conveyed his heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Ho and her team for their presence and support.
Director Ho acknowledged these accomplishments and expressed her full support and guidance to NVSU to ensure the success of its accreditation process. She assured that AACCUP will continue to provide technical assistance to help strengthen the quality of education in the public higher education sector.
Dr. Ho also lauded the dedication and quality evident in each committee’s output, offering comments and suggestions to further enhance the portfolios before their formal submission to the accrediting agency.
The orientation forms part of a series of preparations undertaken by NVSU to ensure the institution’s readiness and adherence to the standards set by the accrediting body.
