NVSU CTE-Bay readies pre-service teachers for off-campus training

The Nueva Vizcaya State University—College of Teacher Education (CTE)- Bayombong Campus equipped future educators with teaching principles and standards during an orientation-seminar on February 13, 2024 held at the University Library.

This said orientation-seminar aimed to ready them for deployment in schools under the Department of Education-Schools Division of Nueva Vizcaya and Quirino.

Dr. Nimpha Norie A. Aquino, DepEd focal person for student internship, emphasized proper etiquette in schools, quoting Peter Drucker's "Efficiency is doing things right. Effectiveness is doing the right thing." She highlighted the importance of self-discipline, humility, a teachable heart, and love for students for a teacher to be efficient and effective.

Dr. Jane D. Navalta, OIC of the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, graced the event. Dr. Navalta reiterated the continuous integration of the 4Ks (Kahusayan, Kababaang-loob, Kasipagan, at Kalinisan) in the daily teaching tasks.

Dr. Adornado C. Vergara, representing the Campus Administrator, challenged the pre-service teachers to demonstrate the values and potentials acquired from the university.

Moreover, Dr. William D. Magday, Jr., Dean of the CTE, advised the student-interns to perform their tasks well and wished them success in their careers.

The program was hosted by Marcielyne R. Pelaez and Bryan B. Gabatino.
